Statutory Inspection and Test: NHS

phs Compliance began working with our Tier 1 facilities management provider delivering electrical safety compliance services across two large hospital sites within the UK’s largest NHS Trust. With more than 1200 A&E patients treated daily and 1.4 million annual outpatients, these hospitals perform more heart surgery, MRI and CT scans than any other hospital in the UK.

Inspection & testing in a highly operational hospital environment is one of the biggest challenges faced by our engineers, as well as the site’s estate team. One site alone consists of 15 buildings with 110 wards and 26 operating theatres. As circuits have to be isolated for testing purposes this is a significant responsibility in such a critical environment and extensive planning needs to take place to mitigate any risks that may occur.
