Statutory Inspection & Test: managed pub chain

For several years phs Compliance has closely supported one of the UK's largest pub chains by delivering statutory compliance services including

  • electrical installation (fixed wire) inspection
  • commercial gas appliance annual safety checks & servicing
  • portable fire extinguisher servicing

We also manage delivery of legionella risk assessments and water hygiene services. Working closely with our customer, we've delivered bespoke training on statutory responsibility for water hygiene and L8 to senior pub management and maintenance staff.

Our electrical engineering teams & legionella inspection experts have worked to tight deadlines across 200 sites to maintain compliance. And that's what counts for our customer. Working closely with corporate and site contacts is critical to how effective our contract management, workflow scheduling and performance reporting can be.

We take a pragmatic solution-based approach to working with our hospitality customers. Our experience with leased-tenanted pubs and franchised or brand hotel chains, tells us that flexibility, excellent communications and collaborative working are key to highly successful service delivery. Out-of-hours workflow is frequently adopted to avoid disruption to trading hours and to enable mains power or water supplies to be isolated for inspection and testing purposes.

Significant operational efficiencies are offered by a single supplier capable of nationwide delivery of multiple compliance services for maintaining property assets to regulatory standards. Working with our customers, we schedule planned maintenance programmes to specifically maximise our productivity on site. Our approach maintains operational cost control and forecasting for customers, with no impact on technical or quality of service delivery.
