Scottish Government’s new fire and smoke alarm regulations will require households to have one smoke alarm in the most frequently used room, one smoke alarm in each circulation area (such as hallways and landings) and a heat alarm in every kitchen. All of these alarms must be interlinked, and ceiling mounted.
