phs Compliance worked with our Tier 1 facilities management client to deliver an extensive plant room de-commissioning and installation project across three schools in North West England. The project replaced existing ten year old boilers and water heaters with installation and commissioning of new Buderus boilers and Lochinvar water heaters. Fluework, pipework, circulation pumps, controls and booster installation was included. This major project was completed within a six week period.
Demanding deadlines for project completion were handled through close collaboration and planning with contract mangers and school staff. All works were required to be completed during the Easter break before schools re-opened. Supply and logistical coordination also required highly effective coordination for ‘just in time’ availability on site throughout the works.
Work was planned closely in advance, monitored constantly throughout the works and phs Compliance engineers worked out-of-hours to ensure works were completed on time & to the highest standards. A detailed logistics plan ensured delivery of materials were coordinated precisely with each project phase. phs Compliance specified all boilers and plant room solutions as well as designs across the three sites, and agreed our programme of works well in advance of works commencing.
Within tight timescales, phs Compliance delivered extensive gas de-commissioning, installation, commissioning and refurbishment work to three plant rooms across different school sites.
Education customers benefit from minimal disruption to operations, a highly professional approach to mechanical project works management, and superior energy efficiency with new boilers working at 95.7% thermal efficiency.
