Commercial Gas Safety Checks
The Gas Safety (Installation and Use) (Amendment) Regulations 2018 - GSIUR - came into force on 6 April 2018, regulating the installation, maintenance and use of gas systems in both domestic and commercial premises. The fifth edition of the GSIUR’s Approved Code of Practice gives practical advice to any person who may have a duty under the regulations, including those who install, service, maintain or repair gas appliances and other gas fittings. Landlords and those who provide gas appliances within premises for use also have duties under these regulations.

Annual commercial gas appliance checks ensure that gas burns correctly; that the appliance is suitable for the environment in which it is located; that the appliance is stable, securely fitted and properly connected to supply; that adequate and permanent ventilation is installed; that flues and chimneys are operating correctly; and that all safety devices are properly functioning.
Upon completion of your statutory testing or completion of installation, you will receive Gas Safe Certification applicable to your appliance/system to ensure that you have accurate records of testing in line with GSIUR. Any remedial issues are notified to our dedicated Mechanical Quotations department, staffed by qualified, experienced gas industry specialists who can offer a bespoke solution to satisfy your statutory responsibilities.
Competence is a combination of practical skill, training, knowledge, experience and safe working practices to carry out the job in hand safely, and ensuring the installation/appliance is left in a safe condition for use.
