Supporting our Tier 1 facilities management client, phs Compliance began working across three primary schools in the Midlands delivering gas heating appliance and plant room installation across the school’s three plant rooms, all of which involved replacing ageing, defective and highly inefficient plant.
phs Compliance completed significant works for one of the three primary schools in Birmingham including a full installation of the plant room and three Remeha condensing boilers along with new heating distribution pipework and radiators.
The other schools involved more straightforward boiler plant room replacement including the installation of Remeha Quinta Pro90 boilers. The new equipment is on average 95% thermally efficient, an increase of more than 30% when compared to the old inefficient boilers that were in situ.
phs Compliance worked effectively with equipment manufacturers to implement bespoke cascade systems, whereby intelligent building systems, controls and a multiple array of boilers are configured to produce high-performance optimal heating operations.
phs Compliance carried out all works efficiently and promptly. The gas install project managers prepared site for all de-commissioning and replacement works, install works were delivered to an excellent standard, and communications were effective and reliable. I’d recommend phs Compliance for any major commercial gas project.
Tight deadlines were met as a result of excellent project management and the rapid mobilisation of our experienced gas engineers. All three schools had ageing and inefficient heating assets, causing significant opex spend and energy inefficiencies. The schools will now enjoy energy-efficient powerful heating systems for at least the next decade and a half, saving in the region of 70% of previous annual energy consumption.
