Our Fire Prevention service includes fire risk assessments and fire safety training. We can also provide fire suppression systems including sprinklers, fire doors and fire blankets for protection of plant and machinery, data rooms, kitchens and more.
Fire Equipment Testing is essential to safeguard lives and businesses. Any business that has suffered a fire knows the costs that this can cause to a business not to mention life and property.
Under The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 the responsible person must provide general fire precautions including the provision of means to fight fire.
The means to fight fire in most cases would be in the form of Portable fire extinguishers that conform to British or European standards. Extinguishers should be visually inspected on a regular basis preferably monthly and should be fit for purpose and serviced annually.
The law also requires employers to allocate a member of staff to deal with enforcing and protecting Health & Safety issues; this includes all fire extinguishers and their servicing / testing.
Why do we need Fire extinguisher testing?
It is required by law that employers should allocated a member of staff to deal with protecting the health and safety issues, this includes fire extinguishers and their servicing. It is recommended that fire extinguishers must be independently tested on a yearly basis to avoid anything going seriously wrong.
When will I know when the servicing is due?
We will tell you. We deliver a fire extinguisher service managed by our highly successful operations team. When servicing of the extinguishers are due, you will be contacted with a service date and time to suit you.
