Aberdeenshire Council
Aberdeenshire Council is one of the northernmost Local Authorities in the UK covering the North East of Scotland. With an incredibly rich history dating back many centuries, the area has witnessed some of the most incredible revolutions imaginable. The fate of Aberdeen was changed by the discovery of North Sea oil. After experimental drilling in 1970 the council set aside land for new oil related industries. New industrial estates were built in and around Aberdeen at that time. The first North Sea oil arrived in Aberdeen in 1975. Oil soon became the main industry in the city and it brought considerable prosperity. Another new industry was information technology, which is now flourishing in Aberdeen. PHS Compliance (formerly CLM Compliance) won a tender with the council in 2006 to deliver key inspection services to over 26,000 of the Councils housing stock. We are now 3 years into the 5 year contract and the relationship between our business and the Council is stronger than ever, services include:
